Summer Intern Experience
In our latest blog, we catch up with our summer intern, Kristina, her experience and takeaways from working at MCP.
How long have you been in the role?
Kristina: I started working at MCP in June, so a little over two months overall.
What did you do on a day-to-day basis?
Kristina: Mainly office and general administration tasks. I also assisted with smaller tasks in accountancy working on processing expenses and with the marketing team developing marketing material.
What project did you enjoy the most?
Kristina: I enjoyed the work with marketing the best because it is similar to what I wish to do in the future.
What are a few fundamental things that you have learned whilst being at MCP?
Kristina: How to navigate sites such as the Customer Relationship Management system and Sage the accountancy system. I got an insight into jobs such as working with finance and marketing.
What is the next move for your career and what do you hope to gain from your study?
Kristina: I am next going into university to study English Language and I believe that my time at MCP can benefit this work in the future.
What advice would you give to anyone seeking to do a similar placement at MCP?
Kristina: Although office admin can be repetitive, as long as you break it up with other tasks, it isn’t too difficult.
